Peter Butler Menamatkan Kontrak Dengan KAFA

Kelantan part ways with Peter Butler

The Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) have announced the termination of coach Peter Butler's contract on Tuesday afternoon.
In a press conference held at Kota Bahru, a KAFA spokesman said that they were forced to part ways when Butler stood his ground on certain policies which conflicted with their interests, although both parties insisted their relationship was ended on amicable terms.
The 45-year-old will receive a payout as agreed in the contract he had signed just a couple of months ago.
It has been speculated the Kelantan managerial vacancy will be filled by Bojak Hodak, the former MyTeam coach, who was present beside Kelantan president Tan Sri Annuar Musa during a recent friendly against Great Eastern-YEO's S.League outfit SAFFC.
Butler remained poignant in parting, saying: "I have officially left Kelantan today [Tuesday].
"At least I leave with Kelantan on top [of the Malaysia Super League]."
He was also adamant the decision to end his time at the helm of Kelantan had nothing to do with money, and insisted the only consideration he had was his future as a coach.
"I can't disclose what I agreed," Butler added. "It's confidential but the decision was not based on money. It was what was right for me and my future.
"It was nowhere near about the money. It was a nominal sum. But as I said it was a career decision.
"My career is more important than money."
Kelantan are currently leading the Malaysia Super League, two points ahead second-placed Perak, and are next in action on Saturday when they entertain Negri Sembilan.
